Nature doesn't bloom forever.

There are seasons for growth, seasons for harvest, seasons for shedding, + seasons for rest. You are allowed to have those seasons, too.

For centuries, people have infused food + drink with prayers, blessings, + symbolic meaning. In many cultures, cooking was more than just putting dinner on the table + the kitchen was a place where nourishment, family, spirituality, + ritual all came together.

Virgo isn't interested in the fantasy of becoming a completely different person. Virgo wants to know what systems, habits, boundaries, + choices would support the person you're already becoming.

What we do have is a much older collection of beliefs surrounding amethyst:

Protection, sobriety, clarity, spirituality, dreams, transition, + keeping meaningful objects close to the body.

+ because this eclipse occurs with the sun in Virgo and the moon in Pisces, we're being asked to find a balance between two different kinds of wisdom:

Virgo asks, "What needs to be changed?"

Pisces asks, "What are you ready to release?"

I mean… they ARE sister signs after all.
This isn't necessarily about fixing your life, it may be about finally accepting what you cannot fix.

There is something about Virgo season that makes me want to buy a new planner, clean out my junk drawer, drink approximately 101 ounces of water, + finally deal with whatever administrative task I've been avoiding for the last six months.

Because the question isn't just:

"Are you ready to shine?"

It's:

"Who are you when nobody is clapping?"

That's a very different question.

We live in a world where visibility can very easily become performance.

Eclipse season isn't something to fear, but it IS one of the most transformational chapters of the astrological year

Many people see eclipses as invitations to pause, reflect, + trust that even when life feels uncertain, something meaningful is unfolding beneath the surface.

Every year around August 8, my social media feeds explode with people talking about the Lion's Gate Portal.

Some people treat it like the biggest manifestation day of the year. Others dismiss it completely.

Personally?

I think it's one of the most beautiful symbolic moments of the year + that’s not because I believe the universe suddenly starts listening on August 8.

If you've spent any amount of time in the spiritual community (or following me on social media), you've probably noticed people getting veeeerrrry excited about the full moon or reminding everyone that a new moon is coming.

From the outside, it can TOTALLY seem like one of those trendy Instagram wellness habits which I TOTALLY get.

Humans have been tracking the moon for thousands of years, making it one of the oldest traditions we still practice today which imo makes it THAT much sweeter.

If Leo season has been asking, "Are you willing to let yourself be seen?" this Aquarius Full Moon asks an even deeper question:

"Will you still be yourself if not everyone understands you?"

Oof. AAAAH!!! Running away screaming (says the content creator with lots of followers who is seen constantly + actively contradicts the boxes people put me into).

If you've spent any time in the spiritual community, you've probably seen someone talking to their plants, growing herbs with intention, blessing their garden, or adding fresh rosemary to an altar. Maybe you've even rolled your eyes a little.

Leo season arrives with a new idea to mull over:

Not "Can you be seen?", but "Can you let yourself shine?"

Because those aren't the same thing.

We've become so accustomed to performing: success, productivity, wellness, authenticity. Leo season reminds us that genuine confidence doesn't come from convincing other people you're worthy, but from ACTUALLY believing it yourself.

Certain sounds can make your nervous system relax, while others immediately put you on high alert.

Many spiritual traditions believe sound works similarly with energy.

The ringing of a bell creates vibration, + vibration has long been associated with breaking up stagnant energy, marking new beginnings, + bringing awareness back to the present moment.

The major themes? Home, emotional security, family, nurturing, intuition, belonging. Basically, this moon is asking you to build your life from the inside out instead of the outside in. After all, Cancer is the maternal side of the zodiac, always looking to take care of us + remind us where safety lies + that success isn’t necesssarily always found in the hustle.

If you've spent any time on spiritual TikTok or Instagram, you've probably seen someone blowing cinnamon through their front door on the first of the month to "call in abundance" + probably with that “WAKE UP! IT’S THA FIRST OF THA MONTH!” audio that we love.

At first glance, it can seem random, but this practice is actually muuuch older than social media.

Like so many practices that get labeled "woowoo," this one has thousands of years of history behind it.

Long before diffusers existed, aromatic plants played an important role in spiritual traditions around the world.

Capricorn is the “Daddy Energy” of the zodiac embodying discipline, achievement, responsibility, leadership, commitment, structure, + long-term success.

It shines a spotlight on themes surrounding career, purpose, boundaries, long-term goals, self-discipline, leadership, work-life balance, sustainable success, + releasing unhealthy expectations. AKA a looooot of goodness here.

The idea that a color could influence how we feel, show up, or move through the world DOES sound strange. But believe it or not, humans have been assigning meaning to color for thousands of years.
